The Process
Strategy Call
We’ll start with a call to discuss your needs in regards to your demo and get a sense for your voice style and the kinds of spots that will best showcase your talent. We will also discuss your recording studio options and assess audio quality.
We only want to create demo reels that will truly serve the talent we work with, and therefore we will assess whether or not you are ready for a reel before beginning the process with you. This means that your skill level as a VO Talent as well as your ability to record quality audio must meet a certain threshold.
If you do not yet have a home studio, we can help you find a local studio to record in.
Training/Prep Session
After the Strategy call, we will develop the scripts for your demo and provide them to you to familiarize yourself with and practice. During the Training/Prep session we will work with you to get the best performance of these scripts so that by the time you step in front of the mic, they sound believable and authentic, and not like an actor reading lines (even though that’s what you’re doing!)
If your schedule permits, we usually like to roll right into the Recording Session directly after this.
Recording Session
We will then hold a live recording session with you, where we listen in and provide feedback to ensure we get your best performance of the scripts captured and ready to be implemented into your reel.
You can record from your own home studio or a local studio of your choosing as long as we are able to listen in.

Custom Written Copy
We will write copy specifically for your voice and style, avoiding any words or phrases that may sound inauthentic or troublesome to ensure we are presenting your voice in its best light
Hand Selected Music and SFX uniquely edited to your reel
Music and SFX will be sourced specifically for the spots on your reel and edited to fit these spots and create realistic representations of your voice in actual client work
Professional Mixing and Mastering
All demo reels are edited, mixed, and mastered by top-notch engineers to industry standards to ensure competitiveness with demos from top VO talent
Individual Clips
In addition to the fully edited demo, we will provide each individual spot on your reel as it’s own separate file. This is handy if you’d like to post individual clips on your site/profiles or make alternate versions of your reel on your own with different orders.
1 Round of Revisions
Creating a demo reel is a creative, collaborative process. We understand that you may want adjustments after hearing your new reel for the first time and we include a complementary round of revisions where you can have us do things such as change the order of spots on the reel, adjust volumes of different elements, change music or sfx, and other adjustments to the overall editing/mix of your reel
